Specialist Speech and Language Therapist – Aurora Cedars School

Location:  Wolverhampton

Salary: £30,617.60 to £44,699.20 pro rata, depending on skills, experience and qualifications 

Hours:   - Part Time, 2.5 days / 20 hours per week.  Term time only

Aurora Cedars School in Wolverhampton offers a bespoke education provision for up to 80 pupils aged 5-19 who have ASC/SEMH needs, some of whom require support with their speech and language and communication needs.  We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of a therapy team at Aurora Cedars.

 

When it comes to looking after our young people, we strive for excellence, with this in mind, we are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to expand our communication friendly statutes and who shares our vision ; to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people to be happy and to make their way in the world.

 

Working collaboratively with the staff, you will support teams to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs.

 

You will be responsible for holding a small speech and language therapy caseload for the school and with the support of our experienced Clinical Lead and SENCo, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Criteria: 

  • You will be a registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
