Specialist Speech and Language Therapist – Aurora Brooklands/ Keyes Barn/Woodlands
Location: Preston/Leyland/Darwin
Salary: £37,668 to £44,699 per annum, pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 40hrs per week - Term time only plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year worked)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of a therapy team in our North West Aurora Schools. Aurora Brooklands, Keyes Barn and Woodlands Schools provide flexible day placements for students aged 5 to 19 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.
When it comes to looking after our young people, we strive for excellence, with this in mind, we are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist who shares our vision; to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Working collaboratively with the sites, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with developmental trauma, Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
You will be responsible for holding a small speech and language therapy caseload for the three special schools and with the support of our experienced Clinical Lead, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload.
