Job Role: Hub Manager

Contract: Term-time/39 weeks/Permanent/ 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £36,500 to £41,080 per annum (FTE)

We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Hub Manager to our City Hub team. Your new role will involve guiding and driving our City Hub team in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our Learners. You will be working collaboratively with our Head of Area- Alternative Provision and the Senior Leadership Team to create an innovative and inclusive environment that helps provide our colleagues with the tools and confidence they need to make learning successful whilst also developing the skillset of the team.

No day will be the same as you will be involved in a variety of tasks which include:

  • Developing and motivating staff, setting high expectations, embedding outstanding teaching, learning strategies and raising achievements for learners. 
  • Working with the Head of Area- Alternative Provision and the Senior Leadership Team to develop the company vision, establish and maintain a culture and ethos that promotes effective collaboration, excellence, equality and high expectations of all learners and staff.
  • Articulating and modelling the Hub’s vision and strategic direction, developing and implementing coherent operational plans which promote and sustain continuous improvement.
  • Leading teaching and learning - monitoring the quality of teaching and learning in the Hub, promoting strategies for raising the achievement of learners, contributing to planning a diverse and flexible curriculum and to producing reports to support pupil reviews and EHC plans. 
  • Developing self and working with others - communicate strategic objectives and priorities with all staff, implement effective performance management processes within the staffing team and implement effective procedures to safeguard pupils at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you are expected to be familiar with the associated standards and frameworks in education such as Ofsted, Teacher Standards etc. In addition to this, you should also have significant proven experience of school leadership with a sustained record of school improvement. 

There is a need to be able to travel between sites within the specified locality to support and engage with young people as required. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for transporting them to various locations.
