Aurora Vincent House School

As part of our growth strategy, we are really pleased to have opened a brand new SEND Secondary School in the heart of Horsham, West Sussex for autistic young people aged 11-16. We are a happy school that values kindness and understanding where everyone feels safe. Most of our students are coming to us from mainstream education to have access to an adapted National Curriculum delivered in small classes with a focus on meeting their sensory needs and support for their emotional wellbeing.

The Role:

We know that our students learn best when they are doing hands-on, experiential learning. We are looking for a science teacher who is passionate about inspiring students to learn through practical, multi-sensory approaches. You will be teaching all three areas of science, and we aim to offer the Combined Science GCSE alongside step-up and entry level courses as appropriate. In exchange, we can offer a brand new science lab and specialist support from experienced SEN teachers and leaders.

This is an exciting opportunity where you would be integral to developing a unique SEND provision and building a bespoke curriculum with the support of Aurora. We want a dynamic, creative and flexible teacher who can ensure great outcomes for students, collaborating closely with our clinical team and SENDCO.

Please note that duties will vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of Vincent House School when required. Please see the link below for our full job description:
