Higher Level Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Smallfield, Surrey

Actual annual salary: £27,712 - £30,250 dependant on qualifications Plus £2000 Welcome bonus For HLTA with SEN Experience* 

Hourly rate: £15.51 - £16.93 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4.45pm. Tuesday 5pm and Friday 4pm

Aurora Redehall School supports pupils aged 6–11 with communication difficulties linked to Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. We’re seeking a passionate HLTA to join our speech, language and communication needs class, helping deliver a broad, creative curriculum and supporting pupils to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Safeguard and promote pupil welfare.
  • Lead classes in teacher absence.
  • Deliver and adapt learning activities.
  • Support individual pupil plans and contribute to reviews.

Skills and Qualifications

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Experience supporting children with SLCN.
  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4 or equivalent)
  • HLTA Diploma or Level 4 qualification (or equivalent skills)
