Financial Reporting Manager

Location: Home-based with travel to Twigworth, Gloucestershire (min. twice monthly)

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Hours: 40 hours per week


The Aurora Group

The Aurora Group is one of the largest providers of SEND educational and care services in the country, supporting over 1,200 children, young people and adults, and employing over 1,500 staff spread across 27 services around England.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory accounts for 11 entities
  • Manage Assistant Financial Accountant
  • Prepare VAT submissions and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset register
  • Maintain and improve Unit 4 finance system
  • Liaise with auditors and tax advisors
  • Drive process improvements and financial controls

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Qualified chartered accountant (preferred)
  • Strong experience in statutory/management accounts
  • Advanced Excel and IT skills
  • Detail-oriented with strategic oversight
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive and resilient under pressure
