Your Role:

As our Chef de Partie, you’ll be at the heart of a vibrant kitchen team, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver delicious, high-quality food that meets our exacting standards. You’ll take the lead on food prep and service, bring fresh ideas to menu development, and help streamline ordering to keep things efficient and reduce waste.

During busy service times, you’ll be a steady hand, ensuring everything runs smoothly with well-timed shifts that complement the Head Chef’s schedule. And of course, you’ll champion best practices in food hygiene, allergen safety, and health and safety compliance.

If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, love nurturing talent, and take pride in every dish you serve, we’d love to hear from you.

Key duties:

  • Supervise the day-to-day running of kitchen sections, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Work alongside the Head Chef on menu development and implementation.
Manage food orders, stock control, and waste reduction measures.
  • Deliver hands-on guidance and mentoring to students during kitchen service.
  • Support chef tutors in developing and delivering bespoke training sessions.
Provide constructive feedback to students in line with curriculum needs and Gatsby benchmarks.
  • Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, stock management, and HACCP compliance.
