Care Support Worker

 

Location: Minehead, Somerset

Salary: £23,804.83 - £25,960.16 (FTE £25,729.60 - £28,059.20)

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Contract: Term time plus additional days and training (42 weeks per year)

 

There is a requirement for shift work including working every other weekend.

The main purpose of the role:

 

As a Care Support Worker, you will ensure you meet the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.

 

As an employee of The Reynard Care and Support Agency your absolute priority is to safeguard the service users in our care. You must work professionally, effectively and sensitively with your team to ensure that all service users are safe and feel safe with any concerns listened to and acted upon appropriately.

 

 Key duties:

 

  • Assist service users who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and the toilet.
  • Help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including
  • Incontinence, and help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Comply with the agency's guidelines and policies at all times.
  • Encourage service users to remain as independent as possible.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the Personal Service User plan (care plan).
  • Complete medication record, if applicable.
  • Ensure all paperwork is appropriately completed and kept up-to-date.
  • Support individuals in attending planned activities in the community whilst promoting individual interests.

  • Care work experience (Desired)
