School Finance Administrator

Location: Torton, Kidderminster

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Annual Salary: £27,747 to £30,014 

Hourly rate: £13.34 to £14.43 per hour 

 

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to support the effective financial operations of Wilden View school (based full time onsite).

 

This role is a vital part of the administration team and plays an essential part in enabling high-quality teaching and learning.

 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration on site, including purchase ordering, goods receipting, and the management and reconciliation of petty cash, debit, and credit card transactions.

 

You will also provide general finance support and work closely with the Central Finance team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth financial processes throughout the school.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of a similar role in an Education setting (Preferred but not essential) 
  • Ideally entry-level finance qualification (AAT or similar)
  • Level 2 Mathematics and English as a minimum (GCSE – C Grade)
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use a variety of software packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly
  • Working knowledge and confident use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook Email/Diary)
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Able to work accurately with strong attention to detail and work to strict deadlines with excellent numerical skills
