Salary: £12.87 to £13.10p/hr depending on skills and experience

Aurora Hanley is an independent specialist school for young people aged 6 to 19, who may face difficulties as a result of complex communication needs typically associated with Autism spectrum conditions.  Many of our students have sensory issues and high levels of anxiety that affect their ability to cope in mainstream settings, creating difficulties that can impact negatively on their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and ability to participate fully in education.

We are currently looking for a Cleaner to work part time in the school, working term time only and 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  

Duties:

  • Dusting and polishing
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen areas
  • Vacuuming and washing floors
  • Cleaning classrooms and communal areas
  • Reporting any necessary repairs/H&S issues
  • Keeping bathrooms stocked and clean
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste 

Please note that duties will vary and you must expect to lend a hand wherever is required. 

Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 

  • Cleaning / Housekeeping experience (not essential as full training will be given)
  • High standards, attention to detail, reliability and a positive work ethic.
  • Experience working in a SEN sector is advantageous
  • Positive and proactive demeanour
