Are you a passionate, versatile musician who thrives on creativity, collaboration, and performance? We’re looking for an energetic Creative Arts Group Tutor to join our alternative creative arts vocational provision and help young people discover their voice through music.

This is more than a teaching role—it’s about mentoring emerging artists, building confidence, and guiding learners through the full musical journey: from first beat to final performance.

You’ll lead group sessions that blend theory, practice, and real-world performance, supporting students to develop their skills across multiple instruments, songwriting, and music production. As a confident drummer who can also play other instruments, you’ll bring rhythm, structure, and inspiration to every session.

Skills and Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Proficiency in drums with the ability to play additional instruments
  • A strong command of music theory and practical musicianship
  • Experience performing at venues and events of varying standards
  • Knowledge of music production, technology, and digital audio workstations (DAWs)
  • Skills in composition and creative music-making
  • A supportive, motivating approach to working with young people in a non-traditional learning environment
  • Qualification in Music
  • Minimum of 2 National Governing Body Awards (NGB’s)

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging group music sessions that combine performance, production, and creativity
  • Prepare learners for live shows and showcase events
  • Encourage experimentation, collaboration, and self-expression
  • Help students build technical skills alongside confidence and resilience

If you’re a musician who believes music can transform lives—and you love working in a creative, alternative setting—this is your chance to make a real impact while doing what you love.
