We create personalised learning pathways through our independent schools, specialist alternative provision, and rich vocational curriculum including Sports, Land Based Studies, Motor Mechanics, Construction, Creative Digital, Catering, Creative Arts, and Adventure.

Our staff build strong, trusting relationships with learners and their families, offering flexible, safe learning environments where young people can grow, achieve, and thrive. If you are passionate about helping learners overcome challenges and reach their potential, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining our Adventure team, where no two days are the same. As an AALA‑licensed provider, we deliver an exciting range of activities such as caving, rock climbing, canoeing, and mountain biking. We also offer vocational pathways for learners interested in pursuing outdoor careers.

In this role, you will:

  • Support young people, encouraging their voice and involvement in decisions
  • Help plan and deliver lessons, sessions and reviews
  • Adapt activities to meet individual needs and boost engagement
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, reporting incidents and contributing to risk assessments
  • Manage learner information, including SEN profiles and progress reports
  • Play a key role in the smooth running of our Outdoor Education provision
  • Be a positive mentor, role model and trusted adult

Please note: This role involves travel between sites, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

We’re looking for someone who’s not only skilled in outdoor activities, but also patient, supportive and enthusiastic about working with young people.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in outdoor activities such as caving, climbing, canoeing or mountain biking
  • A motivating, supportive approach suitable for a non‑traditional learning environment
  • Qualifications in outdoor activity areas (e.g. climbing, Level 1 Kayak)
  • At least two National Governing Body (NGB) awards
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and guidance such as the Children’s Act 2004, Children and Families Act 2014, and the Apprenticeship, Skills and Children Learning Act 2009

If you enjoy making a positive impact, love the outdoors, and want to help young people thrive, we’d love to hear from you!
