The Role:
The primary role of a Skills Tutor is to provide challenging and interesting learning programmes and opportunities for people living at Orchard Manor, who have a learning, physical, emotional or associated disability.

The Role:
As a support worker you will be highly involved in personal care, this is supporting our young people with all aspects of personal hygiene including toileting, dressing and maintain their personal appearance.
As well as supporting with their medical needs you will also get involved in helping with the young adults therapies such as rebound therapy or hydrotherapy in our newly renovated pool. We also have sensory gardens, a skills centre, forestry school and rooms dedicated to art, music and much more.
Independence is prompted wherever is possible, the adults will often run their own days with what they like to do, so you could be helping make things in the sites enterprise scheme, going on shopping trips, taking part in forestry lessons or even going to the pub!!
Bank SEN Adult Support Workers - Day or Night - Orchard Manor - Meldreth nr Royston

Salary: £9.65 - £10.70ph (linked to competency and qualifications) + 13% + Night supplement £25 per shift

As one of our Bank Support Workers, you will work with our young adults who have varying degrees of special educational needs and disabilities. Your aim is to promote their confidence and independence and support them to lead a fulfilling life.

Role Requirements
- Provide exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care and ensuring care during the night.
- Ensuring that medical needs are met at all times
- Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
- Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and develop
- Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
Team Leader – Young Adult Residential Care

The Role:
We are currently looking for a Maternity Cover Team Leader to work for Aurora Orchard Manor. Rated CQC Outstanding Aurora Orchard Manor is set within 14 acres, Orchard Manor offers a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. With specialist facilities and a focus on promoting independence, we support each of our young people through the transition from education into adulthood with a focus on person-centred programmes to promote independence.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Care Managers through the management, motivation and coaching of a team of support workers and Senior Support workers to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first.
- Be responsible for a team that provide appropriate physical and emotional support to the young people through the work of the care team within a residential environment and with off-site activities. This will include:
- Help with the induction of new team members and their continued mentoring and development towards QCF and other mandatory training.
- Carry out supervisions along with dealing with Performance Management issues within your team.
- Take an active role in ensuring that activities are completed, and effectively delegated and day-to-day implementation of young people’s individual program plans are carried out efficiently with adequate cover available at all times.
- Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date.
- Undertake on a regular basis sleeping-in duties for which an allowance is paid and waking night duties and undertake duty manager/on call responsibilities
- Please note that the role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care.
