The happiness, well-being and success of our learners is at the centre of everything we do.   The main purpose of the role:   As one of our Learning Support Practitioners your role will be to assist our students in our residential houses and at Foxes Hotel, to help achieve our mission which is to equip young adults with learning disabilities to find sustainable employment in the hospitality sector and to live independently   Key Duties:   - As an LSP we expect you to have high expectations of all students, and to constantly challenge and stretch each student at every opportunity. - As an LSP we expect you at all times, and under the guidance of the House Team Leaders/Tutors, to support the students in their learning, enabling them to reach their full potential. - We expect all LSPs to professionally and effectively support with managing student behaviour, seeking further advice and guidance where appropriate. - Work professionally and collaboratively with the session tutor to develop a positive, constructive and proactive relationship that benefits the students and contributes significantly to their success within each session and over the duration of the course. - Use strategies to promote students’ wider skills development, such as in communication, self-advocacy, presentation skills and team work. - Work professionally 1:1 with students as directed by House Team Leaders and other LSP’s, monitoring their personal management and independent skills. Bank Hotel General Assistant   Location: Somerset Contract Type: Casual Hours: Flexible hours to suit you Salary: £9.05-£9.16ph + 13% Holiday Pay   Foxes Academy is an Ofsted outstanding specialist college for young adults with learning disabilities (18-25 years old). As an employee of Foxes Academy your absolute priority is to safeguard the students in our care. You must work professionally, effectively and sensitively with your team to ensure that all students are safe and feel safe with any concerns listened to and acted upon appropriately.   Key duties:   - You are expected to work professionally and collaboratively with your team to motivate students and support them to make substantial and sustained progress. - We expect you to lead, direct and develop your team proactively, effectively and efficiently promoting the highest professional standards at all times. - You are expected to lead your team in the effective and supportive management of student behaviour. - To support students with making at least expected progress towards their learning outcomes - We expect you to work professionally, collaboratively and effectively with all other teams across the organisation including the Therapy, Education, Vocational Education and Hotel teams to maximise the learning and success of all Students. - Professionally and effectively line manage the House Team through regular supervisions, annual appraisals and observations, and where appropriate probationary reports; all of which should promote improved performance through honest conversations and pertinent, but at all times professional, feedback - Be on call to deal with any student or staff problems. Casual/Bank Care Support Worker   Location: Minehead, Somerset Salary: £9.15-£9.50 per hour + 13% Holiday Pay  Hours: Flexible shifts to suit you   The main purpose of the role:   To ensure you meet the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. As an employee of The Reynard Care and Support Agency your absolute priority is to safeguard the service users in our care.
