We’re currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
The Role / Key duties:
As our new Teaching Assistant, your role is to support our children with their learning and general wellbeing to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.
Where necessary this may include supporting with care needs from time to time as well as positive behaviour management adopting a tailored approach to the individual child.
You will be expected to establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School, and to promote and encourage independence and personal development in pupils and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times.
You will support the class teacher and contribute to providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.
Position: SEND Administrator- Aurora Hanley School
Location: Bucknall, Stoke on Trent
Salary: £10.54 - £11.14 p/hr (Actual annual salary £18,588.34 to £19,646.50) Depending on skills and experience
Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm, Term time only (39 weeks)

The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
We are currently looking for a SEND Administrator in Stoke on Trent where our Aurora Hanley School supports young people aged 6 - 19 with complex needs typically related to Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism and other conditions.
Main Purpose of the role: To provide efficient and professional secretarial and administrative support to the SEND Co-Ordinator and associated clinical team. This involves prioritising work load effectively under pressure and coping with conflicting demands and interruptions in order to meet internally and externally imposed deadlines.
Key Duties:
- Providing overall administration support to the SENDCo and at times the Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Clinical Psychologist. .
- Planning of all Annual Review meetings and documentation ensuring deadlines are met.
- Supporting the EHCP review process
- Updating all relevant documentation including Provision Maps, Student Support Plans, Pathway plans and other documentation as required.
- Typing correspondence to parents, agencies, professionals, staff and any internal correspondence under the direction of the SENDCo or clinical team
- Under the direction of the Clinical team or SENDCo carrying out individual assessments as requested
- Taking minutes across a range of SEND and clinical meetings, communicate actions and follow up on completion.
- Support communication of SEND to the wider staff team.
- Daily use of email. Responding to and managing information.
- Management of the SEND folder
- Produce templates, forms and resources as directed by the SENDCo
- Assist in the induction of new education staff being a source of help and advice on the administrative procedures
- Any other duties that are identified to be job related.
